our Services

Ethiopian Language, Literacy, and Cultural Program

Our program offers Ethiopian language and literacy classes to both native and non-native speakers with an emphasis on conversational skills and literacy. Classes are offered at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Classes will include cultural activities such as an introduction to traditional literature, musical instruments, and cooking, etc.

Educational Tutoring Program

Qualified volunteer tutors will provide one-on-one tutoring and conduct group study sessions in various subjects including Math, English, and Science for Ethiopian immigrant students. The goal of the program is to provide academic support and guidance to students to help them fully integrate into and thrive in U.S. schools.

Youth Empowerment and Mentorship Program

This program will provides mentorship and workshops for Ethiopian youth to focus on career development, leadership, and skill building with the goal of closing opportunity gaps for Ethiopian youth.

Ethiopian Language and Cultural Program

Our exciting program offers Ethiopian language and cultural classes to youth The Amharic Language Program was officially launched in September 2025.
We have worked closely with a language scholar who has Developed a curriculum that focuses on teaching kids to understand and speak Amharic Trained teachers to teach in the program Beginner, Intermediate level, and Advanced level classes are available.
Classes sizes are limited to 4 students per teacher so students receive individualized attention.

When: Saturdays between 9:00-11:00 AM
Where: Dunloggin Middle School (9129 Northfield Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21042)
Minimum grade level requirement: 1st grade The Cultural Program teaches kids about Ethiopian culture through engaging activities including sessions on traditional dance, games, holiday celebrations, musical instruments, and cooking.

Youth Tutoring Program

Helping Howard County Students Succeed! We are excited to launch our Tutoring Program aimed at helping students in Howard County who are experiencing challenges in their academic journey and help close achievement gaps. Our dedicated tutors are ready to support students in Grades 3–8 who need extra help in Math, Reading, or Writing. Students will receive personalized attention to strengthen their academic skills and build confidence.

When: Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Where: Dunloggin Middle School (9129 Northfield Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21042)
Cost: One-time registration fee of $25
