Our program offers Ethiopian language and literacy classes to both native and non-native speakers with an emphasis on conversational skills and literacy. Classes are offered at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Classes will include cultural activities such as an introduction to traditional literature, musical instruments, and cooking, etc.
Working in collaboration with healthcare providers and organizations, we will conduct biannual health fairs are conducted that will offer free health screenings and provide education and assistance with health insurance enrollment to the community. The main goal of the program is to promote community health and increase access of community members to healthcare and preventative care services.
We will offer classes to help non-native English speakers develop their English language skills in speaking, listening, and basic reading and writing. The goal is to help Ethiopian immigrants with limited English language skills learn to communicate effectively in their daily interactions and integrate into U.S. society.
Qualified volunteer tutors will provide one-on-one tutoring and conduct group study sessions in various subjects including Math, English, and Science for Ethiopian immigrant students. The goal of the program is to provide academic support and guidance to students to help them fully integrate into and thrive in U.S. schools.
This program provides workshops and information on vocational training to increase employment opportunities for community members, with the goal of empowering individuals to achieve financial stability and independence through stable employment.
In collaboration with pro bono attorneys and legal aid organizations, we will offer legal aid and advocacy services to community members in need to ensure access to legal support, protect individuals' rights, and promote fairness and justice within the community.
This program will provides mentorship and workshops for Ethiopian youth to focus on career development, leadership, and skill building with the goal of closing opportunity gaps for Ethiopian youth.
We offer programs that support seniors in living independently and staying active within the community. Services include transportation for medical appointments, assistance with daily activities, and opportunities for recreational and social events. Additionally, we encourage seniors to volunteer and engage meaningfully in community activities to foster social connectedness.
We will conduct workshops on budgeting, saving, debt management, and investment basics for community members to empower them with the financial knowledge and skills needed to achieve financial independence and economic well-being.
